SJR is now recruiting a Tax Accountant for a leading major bank with offices in Arenastaden, Solna. This is a consultant position starting September 1st and initially running through January 15th, 2027 with the possibility of extension. We are looking for you to work as an employed consultant through SJR with monthly salary and occupational pension according to collective agreement.
About the Role
In this position, you will be an important part of the company's Accounting & Tax function and work closely with accounting, controlling, and other key functions within the organization. You will have many contact points both internally and externally, and contribute specialized expertise in tax matters. The role offers a varied day-to-day with both operational and strategic elements. You will be responsible for ensuring correct handling, accounting, and reporting of tax-related matters with particular focus on Nordic operations. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing tax calculations in Sweden and Norway.
- Participate in developing and implementing new tax calculations related to business changes and new branches.
- Responsible for preparing and filing VAT returns in Sweden and Norway.
- Ensure correct accounting of taxes in monthly and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for internal and external tax reporting.
- Support the business with tax-related matters throughout project and transaction processes.
- Communicate with tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors.
- Participate in and drive projects related to new regulations, legislative changes, and business changes.
- Identify and implement improvements in processes, internal controls, and reporting.
Suitable Background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in economics, accounting, finance, or equivalent, plus several years of experience in qualified tax work. You have strong knowledge of both corporate tax and VAT and are experienced in tax accounting, tax calculations, and tax reporting. Experience from banking, the financial sector, or other regulated operations is a plus. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written, and feel confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
