Folktandvården Västerbotten offers general dentistry and specialist dental care in all specialties. We participate in clinical education of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians, and operate dental laboratory services. We offer modern and well-equipped clinics and are at the forefront of research and development through our close collaboration with the Department of Odontology at Umeå University. Specialist dental care is primarily located at the base unit Norrlands Akademiska Tandvård in connection with Norrland's University Hospital in Umeå. Our operations are one of several within the same base unit. Orofacial Medicine is a referral center for patients requiring dental treatment as part of their medical care and serves patients from Region Västerbotten as well as other regions in Norrland. Orofacial Medicine encompasses prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of complex oral conditions linked to systemic diseases and/or functional disorders. For patients requiring special care, we have the capacity for sedation and dental treatment under general anesthesia. Caries serves referral patients from general and specialist clinics in Folktandvården as well as from private providers. Specialist caries treatment includes cause investigation, risk assessment, diagnosis, disease treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with uncontrolled caries disease. Erosive tooth wear, enamel hypoplasia, and dry mouth are conditions also included in the caries treatment spectrum. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a dental assistant with us, you provide important service and enable efforts that impact others. We are looking for a dental assistant interested in working in dentistry. In this role, you will assist with examinations and treatments (including nitrous oxide and general anesthesia). You will also handle certain administrative tasks as well as sterilization and reception work. Close and good collaboration with healthcare staff is important. We work daytime Monday through Friday and use the patient record system T4. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with upper secondary education where nursing assistant education or equivalent is highly desirable. Previous experience in dental care, reception, or healthcare work is valuable. As a person, you are flexible and work well with others. You are proactive and comfortable both assisting others and working independently. You are administratively organized, have good command of Swedish, and express yourself well in speech and writing.
