About the Workplace The Specialist Dental Care Clinic is part of the healthcare administration in Region Västmanland and is located at Västmanland Hospital in Västerås. The clinic consists of our three units: oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and oral rehabilitation. We provide specialist dental care covering all specialties within dentistry and accept patients of all ages. The clinic has a total of approximately 80 employees. This position is placed at the oral and maxillofacial surgery unit. Here you will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of oral and maxillofacial surgeons, specialist dental residents, dental assistants, dental hygienists, and dental hygienists. The unit also has specialists in oral radiology and orofacial medicine. We conduct specialist dental resident training and research, and maintain close collaboration with other dental and medical specialties. Qualifications We are looking for you who have an approved dental hygienist education. If you have further training as a surgical dental hygienist, this is an asset. We also see it as an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession and have worked in oral and maxillofacial surgical care. Since the role involves record work and communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, we see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You who are applying are stable and secure as a person. Since the work can change quickly in various ways, we see that you have the ability to be flexible while maintaining your calm and focus in stressful situations. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks. Since much of the work involves working in a team and close contact with both patients and relatives, you need to be a team player with a sense of service.
