Become part of something bigger. Welcome to Folktandvården! We are now seeking an independent dental hygienist who understands the importance of good service and excellent patient care. Main Tasks and Responsibilities At the Specialist Clinic for Oral Surgery in Gothenburg, you will meet patients of all ages with many different care needs. As a dental hygienist with us, you have an important role in making patients feel well-received and secure during their visit. You will use your full range of competencies while the position also demands creativity, empathy and a service-oriented mindset. The clinic in Gothenburg is located at Odontologen. The clinic provides everything from highly specialized care in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital to dentoalveolar and implant surgery. We conduct patient-centered research and development with a focus on orthognathic and reconstructive surgery. We also provide training for specialist dental residents, education for dental students, and course activities, and you will also participate in the clinic's observation and consultation services. The position includes, among other things: Assisting with examinations and treatments Work with own patients in preventive treatment, orientation, oral health advice or acclimation treatment Work in the sterile area and reception We are a clinical training facility and accept students from the dental hygienist and dental programs at Gothenburg University. Supervision and assistance of students can also become part of the position. We currently have a total of 35 employees distributed across the clinic's 9 treatment rooms. Feel free to read more about our opening hours and how to find us: Oral Surgery Gothenburg - Folktandvården Competency Requirements and Profile Trained dental hygienist with an education approved by MYH (Swedish National Board for Technical and Vocational Education) Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written Able to independently manage administrative tasks Ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient and prudent manner Able to project a calm and stable impression even when busy Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a responsive manner Contribute to the clinic's development by actively participating in improvement efforts Completed surgical course for dental hygienists is a merit Reception work is a merit If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually designed supervision program during the initial period. The supervision program is part of our two-year development program for newly trained dental hygienists. About the Recruitment Process The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application deadline, the clinic manager will make a selection of applicants and invite them for interviews at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 37-38.
