The Role of Dental Hygienist
Working as a dental hygienist means being able to anticipate needs and stay one step ahead in a treatment situation. You will be an invaluable resource in the team that together cares for and treats patients at the clinic, and in your daily work you will meet patients of all ages and with different backgrounds.
In addition to being the dentist's right hand, you also have areas of responsibility and tasks that you handle independently, both clinical and/or administrative. Work at reception and in the sterilization area may occur. Since Folktandvården's mission is to serve all residents of the region, you will meet patients of all ages and with different backgrounds in your daily work. In other words, you will have great use of all your professional expertise.

As a dental hygienist within Folktandvården Region Jönköpings County, you play an important role in our public health promotion work. You work closely with colleagues at the clinic to provide patients with the best possible care.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is trained as a dental hygienist with interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry. It is important to us that you are engaged, driven to make others' lives a little better, and always put the patient's best interests first. You should be able to work both as part of a team with a dentist or dental hygienist and independently with your own patients. We would prefer that you have previous experience working with the T4 journal system. You also have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
As a person, you are confident and stable and maintain composure even in stressful situations. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. Furthermore, you are proactive and have good communication skills, adapting your message well to the situation and recipient. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who shares Folktandvården's vision and values - good and equitable dental care for all residents of the region. Therefore, it is important to us that you are professional, both to ensure patient safety and to maintain good quality. We would prefer that you have a class B driver's license.
