The Education Clinics and specialist dental services in Gothenburg, located at Odontologen, constitute Public Dental Health's university dental care. This means that as an employee you actively participate in basic training of dentists and dental hygienists, contribute to odontological research, and are part of developing dental care throughout the region. Duties and Responsibilities At the Adult Dental Care Education Clinic with approximately 65 employees, clinical basic training of dentists and dental hygienists is conducted. Teaching is primarily delivered in an integrated subject format and in close collaboration with the Department of Odontology. We work with students in a knowledge-intensive environment alongside specialists in various subject areas. We are now seeking two dentists interested in mentoring and who wish to participate in training future colleagues. The activities are governed by a cooperation agreement between the state and Västra Götaland Region regarding dentist training and odontological research (TUA). Your responsibilities will include: Mentoring dental students in clinical training within adult dental care according to the current curriculum Providing students with continuous feedback to promote learning progression Planning, conducting and evaluating clinic preparation courses at our Simulation Clinic Own patient treatment and development work Required Competencies and Profile We are looking for someone who: Is a licensed dentist Has at least five years of service in general dental care for adults and feels confident in your professional role Has a genuine interest in odontology and is interested in mentoring Has a desire to continue developing as a dentist and be a good role model for future colleagues Wants highly varied and inspiring work We are flexible regarding employment level and view positively the combination of your own clinical practice within General Dentistry with an assignment with us (combined position). We place great emphasis on personal suitability, which for us means that you are responsible, engaged and have good communication skills. You have a strong interest in odontology and keep yourself updated. You provide students with the best possible pedagogical support in treatment situations and are responsible for students achieving their learning objectives. You maintain your composure even in complicated situations. You have a professional approach to students, colleagues and patients and want to contribute to a good teaching climate with us.
