Become part of something bigger. Welcome to Folktandvården! The Education Clinics and specialist dental care in Gothenburg, located at Odontologen, constitute Folktandvården's university dental care. This means that as an employee you actively participate in basic training of dentists and dental hygienists, contribute to odontological research and are part of developing dental care throughout the region. Assignment and Tasks At the Adult Dental Education Clinic with approximately 65 employees, clinical basic training of dentists and dental hygienists is conducted. Teaching takes place mainly in an integrated subject format and in close collaboration with the Department of Odontology. We work with students in a knowledge-intensive environment together with specialists in various subject areas. We are now seeking two dentists who are interested in mentoring and who want to participate in training future colleagues. The operations are regulated by a cooperation agreement between the state and the Västra Götaland Region regarding dental education and odontological research (TUA). Your tasks will include: Mentoring dental students in clinical training within adult dental care according to current curriculum Providing students with continuous feedback to promote learning progression Planning, implementing and evaluating clinic preparation courses at our Simulation Clinic Own patient treatment and development work Required Competencies and Profile We want you to be: A licensed dentist Have at least five years of professional experience in general dentistry for adults and feel confident in your professional role Have a genuine interest in odontology and be interested in mentoring Have a desire to continue developing as a dentist and be a good role model for future colleagues Want a highly varied and inspiring work We are flexible regarding employment level and view positively the combination of your own clinical practice within General Dentistry with an assignment with us. (combined position) We place great importance on personal suitability, which for us means that you are responsible, committed and have good communication skills. You have a pronounced interest in odontology and keep yourself updated. You provide the student with the best possible pedagogical support in treatment situations and are responsible for ensuring that the student achieves their learning goals. You remain calm even in complicated situations. You have a professional demeanor towards students, colleagues and patients and want to contribute to a good teaching environment with us. After a period of time we will offer training in higher education pedagogy (7.5 ECTS). Interviews are scheduled for 14/9 and afternoon 16/9. We look forward to your application!
