Then apply for the position of Tactical Buyer at SMP Parts! Your responsibilities In the role of Tactical Buyer, you will have broad and varied responsibility for the entire procurement process. You will work closely with production and become part of a team consisting of buyers/production planners and designers. You drive and develop supplier collaborations with a focus on quality, delivery precision and commercial terms, including negotiations. The role also involves supporting operational procurement when needed to ensure material supply to production and customers. This includes, among other things, order placement, evaluation of procurement proposals, delivery monitoring and dialogue with suppliers and handling of deviations. Furthermore, you work with updating system parameters, contribute to developing routines and improvements within the procurement function, and identify and evaluate new suppliers. The role also includes visiting suppliers and receiving visits at the Ilsbo site. Your profile We are looking for someone with procurement training and/or relevant work experience in procurement, preferably from the mechanical engineering industry, production or manufacturing of metal products. A prerequisite for success in the role is good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing, as well as generally good IT and computer skills. Experience working in production or business systems is also important. If you have previously worked in Monitor or similar ERP systems, this is an advantage, as is experience from procurement roles within the manufacturing industry. Technical understanding, preferably related to metal or production, as well as negotiation experience are also advantageous. As a person, you are confident and solution-oriented with the ability to see different ways forward in challenging situations. You work in a structured and planned manner, and thrive in an environment where the pace is sometimes high. The role requires good collaboration skills and clear communication, where you contribute to an open and transparent working approach both internally and in collaboration with suppliers.
