At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work on one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an exceptionally important job!
We are now looking for a systems developer who wants to work in an enabling platform team where the focus is on building robust technical solutions and providing other development teams with the right conditions to succeed.
Does that sound interesting? Then we hope you'll read on.
The Swedish Migration Agency is currently undertaking a long-term shift from a highly integrated architecture to a more loosely coupled and scalable architecture.
Your assignment will be to be part of a team that, together with other development teams, drives this transformation forward – toward a more flexible, modern, and efficient way of developing systems and services.
As a colleague at the Swedish Migration Agency, you will work in a technically challenging environment where we continuously improve our solutions and working methods. Here, societal benefit is combined with modern systems development – you contribute to solutions that make a real difference, while also having a secure and stable employment.
What does a systems developer do at the Swedish Migration Agency?
As a systems developer with us, you will be part of a platform team that works closely with other development teams. We work with a high degree of autonomy in the teams, modern technologies, and a continuous focus on delivering value.
We place great emphasis on a strong team culture – we share knowledge, learn from each other, and value different perspectives.
We work agile with a strong focus on automation and are moving toward a loosely coupled, event-based architecture. Right now, we are also building a modern, cloud-native platform based on Kubernetes and Docker.
Together with your new colleagues, you will:
develop tools, techniques, and frameworks that simplify and streamline development work – both for yourselves and other teams
create technical conditions for stable and continuous deliveries
work with testing as a natural part of the development process
collaborate closely with the teams' users, management, as well as operations and support organizations
We have a strong focus on continuous improvements – both in how we work and in what we build. Here you have good opportunities to influence technical choices, working methods, and direction.
You will become part of an organization where technical challenges meet societal needs – and where your expertise makes a concrete difference.
