Do you want to work with infrastructure critical to society and contribute solutions for Sweden's energy supply? At Svenska kraftnät, you'll have the opportunity to influence technology and architecture in a constantly growing system, working alongside a skilled and dedicated team. About the Position As a backend developer with a focus on Python, you'll be part of a development team responsible for further development and maintenance of an application for data collection and analysis from various operational environments. The system is transitioning from project to operations during 2026, and the team will be built up progressively. You'll have the opportunity to influence technology choices, working methods, and architecture from an early stage. The team currently consists of several roles, including developers, architects, UX designers, and testers, and works agile and closely together. Responsibilities In this role, you will among other things: Participate in sprint planning and ongoing development work. Develop solution proposals together with the team. Develop and further develop backend functionality in Python. Write robust, testable, and readable code with high quality. Implement and maintain unit and integration tests. Contribute to shared architecture decisions and technical guidelines. Work on troubleshooting, improvements, and further development in operations. Technology and Working Methods The work includes among other things: Backend development in Python (FastAPI). Databases (relational databases such as PostgreSQL or equivalent). Authentication and authorization solutions for web applications. Logging, traceability, and audit logging. CI/CD and pipelines in Azure DevOps Server. Container technology (Docker, preferably Podman). Code quality and analysis tools (for example SonarQube). We're looking for you with a college or university degree in IT, or equivalent experience that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent. Other Requirements for the Position At least 5 years of professional experience with Python development in backend applications. Experience with database development (relational databases). At least 3 years of experience with agile working methods, CI/CD, and DevOps. Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab. At least 2 years of experience with: authentication solutions for web applications, logging and traceability (application and/or audit logging), unit and integration testing. Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Merits Include Experience With Python development within data analysis or data processing. Building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Code quality tools such as SonarQube. Test automation. Working in the energy market. Industrial communication protocols.
