Work Tasks Whether you have worked out in the facilities, in train dispatch, or with technical system solutions behind the scenes, you will have the opportunity here to use your experience in a new way - in a role that combines technology, operations, and development of the railway's most critical systems. As a systems technician, you work to provide train dispatchers with the right tools to control and monitor railway traffic. You become part of an engaged team responsible for operations, maintenance, and further development of signal and train dispatch systems. Common work tasks: Perform operations and system maintenance of train dispatch systems as well as Control System 95 and M11 - to ensure high availability in traffic Troubleshoot and resolve issues during regular working hours (8-16:30) and during on-call duty Participate in testing and deployment of new systems and changes in the facilities Be an important link between operations, administration, and ongoing projects within signal and train dispatch systems Participate in development and administration activities in both production and test environments Manage and maintain the virtualized environments our systems operate in For the right person, we offer a structured introduction with training and practice during the first year - both on-site and at other locations - to ensure you have a secure start in the role. Qualifications We are looking for someone with good communication skills who thrives in a role where you collaborate with others, build good relationships both internally and externally, and share your knowledge. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, find it easy to make your own decisions, and drive your work forward. Furthermore, you are proactive and actively contribute to developing and improving operations, as well as having the ability to see the bigger picture and connections in complex issues. We are looking for someone who has at least a complete upper secondary education education or work experience in railway signal technology or train dispatch systems, alternatively education or work experience in IT operations or network technology good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written a driver's license for a car. It is a merit if you have experience in, for example, virtualization, network technology, IT security, IT operations, SCADA systems, or similar experience with train dispatch systems and/or local control systems for signal control systems competence in Control System 95/M11 competence in ERTMS/ETCS. Other Information The placement location for this position is Boden. Web-based tests will be used as part of the selection process in this recruitment. Interviews are planned to be held during weeks 40-41. Since there are security-critical tasks within the railway, it may be necessary to undergo a health examination. You will receive information about this later in the recruitment process. Since our work largely requires us to be on-site, remote work is rarely available. Travel related to training and testing activities with suppliers occurs regularly but not very frequently, estimated a couple of times per year. On-call duty will eventually be included as part of regular work tasks after completion of basic training. The position is placed in a security classification. Employment requires a satisfactory result in the security vetting, which is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
