Do you want a key role where you can combine stable operations work with helping shape the future data environment? At Renova, we're in the middle of an exciting modernization journey where we're developing our data platforms, strengthening our master data work, and building modern decision support systems for our operations. Now we're looking for a Systems Specialist Data, BI & Integration who wants to make a difference—both for our business and for Western Sweden's environmental efforts.
What You'll Be Part Of
As a Systems Specialist Data, BI & Integration, you'll join IT Delivery, a business-focused part of our IT department. Here you'll find short decision-making paths, high expertise, and a culture characterized by collaboration and humility. You'll join a team of about ten systems specialists and take on a central role in connecting business systems, data, and integrations. You'll work closely with our data platform lead, master data lead, architects, and external vendors. This is a much-anticipated hire and a role that will be crucial to Renova's continued digital transformation and modernization.
Job Description
Renova is undergoing a major technology shift, moving from older database-based solutions toward modern platforms. You'll take on an application-focused role, concentrating on how data is used, structured, and flows. You'll be the link between systems and underlying information, helping create tomorrow's data landscape.
In this role, you will:
Analyze, document, and further develop SQL-based logic in our business systems and understand how data connects across different sources.
Manage existing reports and develop modern dashboards and visualizations in Power BI.
Develop and maintain data flows, integrations, and data warehouses (ETL processes and information flows).
Contribute to modernizing older data structures as we move toward modern ways of working.
Support Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and shared data structures.
Troubleshoot and document database-driven system flows, batch jobs, and integrations.
As part of Renova's continued modernization, you'll also have the opportunity to broaden your expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform and how it can be used to streamline processes and create additional business value.
Your Background
You have a genuine interest in data and are motivated by modernizing and improving existing solutions. As a person, you're analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You communicate well and can explain technical questions clearly to both business and IT stakeholders.
We're looking for someone with experience in:
Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
Data modeling, data structures, and report development
Power BI
Analyzing and developing existing data and reporting solutions
Working in a business-focused IT role as a bridge between systems, data, and operations
Data warehouses and ETL flows (such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory)
Relevant post-secondary IT education or equivalent experience
It's a plus if you have experience with:
Master Data Management (MDM)
ERP systems, such as IFS
API-based integrations
Oracle environments and PL/SQL (or a strong interest in developing in this area)
Microsoft Fabric
Since we're moving toward more modern ways of working, we expect you to have experience with, or a strong interest in, version control in Git and DevOps. It's an extra bonus if you also have experience with scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
Why Renova?
At Renova, you're offered a role with clear purpose, significant influence, and long-term stability. You'll have the opportunity to help shape tomorrow's data landscape in an organization that combines a solid foundation with high ambitions for the future. Here you can:
Take a key role in modernizing Renova's data and integration environment.
Develop decision support tools using Power BI and contribute to more data-driven decisions.
Work with complex data flows, integrations, and business-critical information.
Influence future ways of working in close collaboration with both business and IT.
