Your Responsibilities
We continuously receive needs for systems engineers at Saab! Through your application, you will have the opportunity to be matched to different positions based on your interests, experience, and competencies.
As a systems engineer at Saab, you work in a central and cohesive role throughout the entire development chain. Depending on the assignment, you may work in areas such as weapons integration, aircraft systems, hydraulics, ILS, or other technical areas related to advanced products.
You gain a comprehensive perspective and participate from early phases such as requirements definition and concept development, through design, verification, and product support.
Examples of responsibilities:
Work with system development and design focusing on function, performance, and overall integration.
Manage requirements analysis and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Lead or participate in system safety work.
Plan and conduct verification, validation, and testing in simulators, test rigs, and during ground and flight tests.
Coordinate and organize activities in project form throughout the development process.
Work with technical investigations and problem-solving, both in development and in operations.
Contribute to the development of instructions, equipment, tools, and maintenance solutions.
Work with operational monitoring and product support for the customer.
Collaborate with multiple technical disciplines, such as design, analysis, production, procurement, and suppliers.
Participate in improvement initiatives and development of existing systems and working methods.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and has a strong interest in technology. You are organized and have the ability to handle complex information while seeing the bigger picture.
You are a team player who can also work independently, and you are motivated by contributing to the development of technically advanced systems in a dynamic environment.
Requirements for the positions:
Civil engineering or technical engineering degree in areas such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent.
Experience with systems engineering work.
Good understanding of system development, requirements management, and technical relationships.
Analytical ability and experience in compiling and communicating technical information.
Ability to work in a structured manner and manage multiple parallel tasks.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have experience in areas such as:
Aerospace or defense industry.
Hydraulics, mechatronics, or other complex technical systems.
ILS (Integrated Logistic Support).
Testing, verification, or trials.
Data analysis, simulations, or calculations.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security clearance regulations at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, certain citizenship may be required.
