LFV is in the midst of an exciting transformation journey with new technology, new ways of working, and growing responsibilities. We need to strengthen the team and are now looking for two systems engineers who want to contribute to smart solutions for tomorrow's air traffic.
Your Future Workplace
You will become part of CNS COM Network, a great team of ten people who together work with management, design, and development of our national IP-based transmission network, LFV ATN.
We collaborate with other ANSPs (Air Navigation Service Providers) and their IP-based transmission networks.
LFV ATN (Aeronautical Telecommunication Network) is used within operational air traffic services and is therefore regulated with high demands for precision, controls, and follow-up.
The team works with different specializations, so regardless of whether you want to manage LFV ATN, enjoy technical projects, like working with test environments, or contribute as an advisor on technical matters, there is a place for you.
Your Role
As a systems engineer with us, you will receive a broad and varied assignment within systems and management issues. You will work with, among other things:
Design of network changes related to LFV's systems – from structure and planning to documentation, dialogue with operations, and assessments regarding flight safety and cybersecurity.
Close contact with operations, for example air traffic controllers, systems engineers, authorities, and suppliers. You'll have many exciting touchpoints!
Leadership of maintenance technicians and more senior responsibility for LFV ATN, as well as serving as an advisor for both technicians and users.
Project management within the COM Network area.
Who Are We Looking For?
We believe you want to take the step from operational management to a more management- and design-oriented role. You like the combination of own responsibility and close collaboration, willingly take initiative, and enjoy working toward clear goals. You are analytical, communicative, and good at creating structure. And above all, you share our commitment to technology, development, and flight safety.
If the description fits you, then you are right for the job if you also have:
A technical degree with a focus on network technology or equivalent experience
Experience with IP networks in operations and maintenance, with strong knowledge of IP networking and Cisco
Good understanding of IT infrastructure, IP networks, communications, and cybersecurity
Experience leading, following up, and administering development and improvement work within network services
Mastery of LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, proxies, multicast, QoS, and network design
Very strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider it a bonus if you also have experience with:
Tools such as Netbox, IPFabric, Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime, Netflow
MPLS, IPsec, SD-WAN, EVPL, and VPLS
DNS, DHCP, and other network-related protocols
Linux, scripting, and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, APIs)
Communication services within air traffic services and relevant laws and regulations
Other Information
These are permanent positions with work locations at several places in the country, for example Stockholm/Arlanda, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö/Sturup.
Business travel may occur.
Before employment, a security clearance is conducted, which includes register checks, security interviews, and drug testing. The role requires Swedish citizenship.
We value diversity and believe that different perspectives make us better. Our recruitment process is competence-based and includes selection, tests, and interviews, which ensures that all candidates are treated equally and fairly.
