Job Responsibilities This role is one of three new key positions that strengthen the IT/OT organization at the heat and power plant, where you will have the opportunity to build, influence, and shape a completely new service together with both new and existing colleagues. As a systems engineer, you work with the development, operation, and maintenance of automation and control systems that are critical to the power plant's production. The role is both operational and strategic and involves close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and IT to ensure stable and secure production. Your responsibilities include: Developing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining ABB 800xA, control logic, and automation interfaces Optimizing control, logic, and operational functions in the production facility Making changes to SCADA displays, functions, and alarm strategies Participating in upgrades, testing, function checks, and commissioning Working with industrial networks and OT communication Contributing to improvement and development projects within automation and OT Establishing and updating technical documentation and functional descriptions Education Requirements Post-secondary education in automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent technical field. Relevant and several years of practical experience with PLC and SCADA work can substitute for formal education. Driver's license category B Required Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of industrial networks, automation interfaces, and OT communication Experience with ABB xA800 systems Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability in mission-critical environments Meritorious Experience with OT security and working according to relevant standards, such as IEC 62443 Experience with upgrades, commissioning, or development projects within automation Experience from the energy sector or other process or production industry Experience with other SCADA systems and industrial control environments To succeed in this role, we see that you are: Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to work systematically during troubleshooting Thorough and responsible, with an understanding of mission-critical systems Collaboration-focused, with good ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, and IT Practical, with an interest in both technology and the organization's needs Personal qualities are important as the role combines strategic and operational work and collaboration in a production environment.
