We are now recruiting a systems administrator to Malmö University's IT department – a role where you get to combine technology, business development and collaboration. As a systems administrator with us, you will become a central part of our management team. The systems administrator is often the link between users, suppliers and the IT department. Therefore, you work closely with both operations and technology and contribute to our systems being used efficiently and developed in line with operational needs. Systems administration at Malmö University is largely about prioritization, follow-up, documentation and change planning. Together with the team, you will manage and further develop several important systems, including: · Canvas – University's learning platform · Edu Print – University's print service · Edu Sign – digital signature system · E-leg – BankID, Freja eID, eduID You work both operationally and with a development focus and are responsible for: · Managing and further developing our IT systems · Leading and/or participating in development initiatives and projects · Building and developing support structures · Providing qualified support (level 2–3) · Being technical support to system owners · Collaborating with other institutions and external suppliers · Following up deliveries and contributing to improved working methods · Environmental monitoring within your area Qualifications We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with an operations-focused perspective. Requirements · Relevant college/university education in IT (or equivalent experience) · 3–5 years of experience in systems administration and management models · Good understanding of operational processes, such as incident management, change management and releases. · Experience with supplier contacts, such as requirements management and prioritization of development initiatives · Good communication skills in both Swedish and English Meritorious · Experience with M365 and/or Power BI · Interest in AI and its impact on IT delivery · Databases (SQL). · Integrations and APIs · Rights and security administration · Basic understanding of cloud services · Testing and quality assurance · Ability to document systems, processes and routines · Experience in writing user instructions and requirement specifications · Experience in following up agreements and SLAs · Experience in coordinating with consultants and system suppliers Personal Qualities You: · collaborate easily and enjoy working in teams · have a holistic perspective and business focus · take responsibility, are well-organized and drive your work forward · dare to try new things and contribute to improvements Workplace With us you get: · work in a knowledge-intensive environment with great societal value · be part of developing central systems for education and research · be part of a competent and collaboration-focused IT organization · opportunity for some remote work · a workplace characterized by inclusion and diversity Working with IT at a university is a varied and challenging job characterized by a balance between academic freedom and technical limitations. The University's IT department delivers a broad range of services to the organization divided into 4 units. IT Infrastructure, IT Service, IT Digitalization and the IT Management unit, which together make up just over 60 people. This position is placed in the IT Management unit, which is located on Universitetsholmen near the central station. IT Management is a unit with broad expertise in systems administration and systems development and works closely with the rest of the organization, often in project form.
