At Avarn Security, you'll have a central role in a new team responsible for the systems and functional IT environment that keeps the OMC/NOC, alarm center, CCTV, telephony, and customer-facing services running 24/7. Here you'll combine systems operations, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving with overall responsibility for complex IT environments where multiple systems, integrations, and infrastructure layers work together. About the Position Professionals Nord is recruiting a Technical IT Specialist on behalf of Avarn Security. This is a direct hire, meaning you'll be employed directly by Avarn Security. You'll be part of a new team responsible for the functional IT environment delivered to operations and customers. The role involves broad technical responsibility where you work closely with servers, applications, databases, and data flows while collaborating with internal specialist teams and vendors on VMware, networking, and firewalls. This is a role for someone who enjoys analyzing complex problems, working hands-on in technical environments, and taking responsibility for ensuring mission-critical systems function as they should. Responsibilities As a Technical IT Specialist, you're responsible for ensuring the functional IT environment operates and evolves. You'll work both operationally and problem-solving in an environment where multiple systems and technical platforms depend on each other. You will, among other things: Ensure the functional environment for OMC/NOC, alarm center, telephony, and CCTV functions in a 24/7 operation. Troubleshoot complex problems where servers, databases, applications, integrations, and infrastructure work together. Work hands-on with Windows and Linux servers and application-level operations. Use SQL to analyze, monitor, and quality-assure data flows. Manage dependencies between existing systems and new technical platforms. Collaborate with internal specialist teams on VMware, networking, routing, and firewalls. Follow up with vendors and internal support functions when their components affect technical delivery. Contribute to improvements in monitoring, documentation, dashboards, and simple automation. We're Looking for Someone Who Has several years of experience in IT, for example in systems operations, infrastructure, 2nd/3rd line support, NOC, managed services, or systems administration. Has practical experience with Windows and Linux environments. Has good understanding of servers, networking, firewalls, and how different systems communicate. Is comfortable with SQL and uses it as a tool for troubleshooting and analysis. Has experience with complex IT environments where multiple systems and integrations work together. It's a plus if you have experience with mission-critical environments, monitoring, scripting, automation, or integrations. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
