Description:
Our Operations Sveriges Ridgymnasium AB is an established organization that has been operating for 20 years. Today, our schools are located in three places across the country. We work strategically to stay at the forefront of developing our schools and our pedagogy, and collaborative learning is high on our agenda. Sveriges Ridgymnasium's vision is to be Sweden's best upper secondary school alternative for students interested in horses and equestrian sports, and our goal is to provide our students with the very best conditions to develop their interest in horses and their talent, while they receive a solid upper secondary education that takes them forward in life, regardless of their chosen path. At our schools, we create tomorrow's riders and equestrian professionals with a strong educational foundation for both further studies and professional careers. Our guiding principles—quality, participation, and joy—permeate the work throughout the school. We place great value on your personal commitment and are concerned that you thrive, develop, and feel good. For your security, we have a collective agreement. In Varberg, approximately 20 employees work together. Just over 90 students are distributed across the school's three class cohorts. Students study the Nature Professions Program, with a focus on Horse Management. What You'll Work With Here: Tasks included are, for example, turning horses in and out of pasture, mucking out stalls, feeding, cleaning, horse care, exercising horses, and other tasks that occur in a stable environment. The position also includes serving as a mentor to students in the stable environment. The role requires that you have the ability to take overall responsibility for the stable and horses. The Position: The position is 100% and working hours are distributed across daytime, evenings, and weekends. A typical schedule would be working evenings (until 9:00 PM) on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus every other weekend (Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 AM–4:00 PM). The remaining time is during the day. This is a fixed-term employment starting as soon as possible and extending through February 2027, with potential for extension. We see that you, as an applicant, have an understanding and insight into what is required to work in a teaching environment that is safe and secure for both students and horses. We are looking for someone who is a certified horse groom or has equivalent vocational training. A driver's license with extended B-category authorization and experience driving with a trailer are desirable qualifications. Want to Know More? We really look forward to hearing from you!
