SRG Svedala is a school where pedagogical development and collaborative learning are high on the agenda. Our staff consists of approximately 35 colleagues and about 160 students study across three cohorts in the Natural Resource Program—with a focus on Horse Management—with specializations in Horses/Equestrian Sports. Here we create tomorrow's riders and horse professionals with a solid educational foundation for both further studies and professional careers.
We hope you meet the following qualifications:
We require and value that you hold a degree in social work (socionom) or equivalent education. Previous experience in the role of school counselor is highly meritorious.
You are responsive to students' needs and have a strong ability to collaborate with students, parents/guardians, educators, and colleagues.
We also see that you are driven to challenge yourself, your colleagues, and students—to contribute to continuous development. You are independent and responsible in your work.
What you will be doing with us:
We are looking for someone who wants to be an active part of our student welfare team. You will work actively with students' well-being, focusing on health promotion and prevention efforts. In collaboration between the school's various professional disciplines, your salutogenic approach is important.
We want you as a counselor to value and contribute to a functioning school experience for each student—as a success factor for students' learning and development. With this perspective on your role, you will follow students' development and help optimize good conditions for their learning. In your role with us, you will contribute your expertise at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
For example, you will conduct investigations of students with problematic school absences, investigate reports of harassment, work on various measures to strengthen safety and study environment. You will have conversations with students about their well-being and life situation and guide both students and staff within your areas of responsibility. We see health promotion and prevention work at the organizational level as central to the role.
We have national intake, and students come from different parts of the country, so many of our students live in student housing near the school. Therefore, there is an opportunity to work both during daytime and evenings as well as some weekends. Working hours will be agreed upon between you and us and can therefore be adjusted quite flexibly.
Start Date and Employment Terms
The position begins August 3 or by agreement. The position is full-time. We offer a trial period of 6 months. The purpose is for the position to become a permanent employment after the trial period.
