You will work in a new, beautiful, and inspiring library space, but an important part of the role is also to leave the library and venture out. We are looking for someone who wants to work actively in classrooms with students and teachers. You create interest in books and reading, promote reading, and contribute to students' language and knowledge development. The position includes, among other things: • developing the school library together with school leadership and teachers • actively working with reading promotion initiatives and fostering a love of reading in our students • regularly visiting classrooms to present literature, themes, and reading projects • collaborating with Swedish teachers and other teachers on instruction • supporting students in information research, source criticism, and media and information literacy • creating activities, book recommendations, themed exhibitions, and other initiatives that make literature visible throughout the school • developing the library's collection to suit our students and our various vocational programs • contributing to the school's overall work on language, reading, and knowledge development Who We're Looking For We believe you are someone who enjoys meeting young people and finds it easy to build relationships. You need to be able to reach students who don't already see themselves as readers and find pathways to literature that feels relevant to them. We would like to see that you are: • a trained librarian, or • a certified/experienced Swedish teacher with a strong interest in school library work and reading promotion. A teaching credential in Swedish is particularly valuable since the position can be combined with teaching. Above all, we are looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and engaged in the work. You don't wait for students to come to the library – you bring the library, literature, and reading to the students. What We Offer You will have the opportunity to help shape a school library with excellent conditions from the start. We have a new and very fine library space, but above all, the ambition to create a school library that makes a mark on instruction and makes a real difference for students' reading, language, and learning. Scope: 50–100% Possibility of combined position? Yes, teaching in Swedish can be included depending on qualifications and experience. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who wants to make the school library an active and integral part of students' school days. Benefits Our employees' health and well-being are important to us. At our schools, employees are offered benefits such as wellness allowance, parental benefits, and occupational health services.
