ISS Facility Services operates rescue services at Volvo Powertrain and Horse in Skövde - the operations are part of Räddningstjänsten Skaraborg. We are now seeking a Fire Safety Commander whose responsibility is to oversee fire safety – operationally and preventatively – at Volvo Powertrain and Horse. About Us We take care of our customers' properties, employees, and visitors. We are experts in facility services and we deliver service solutions to companies and public organizations throughout Sweden. We ensure that properties and workplaces are as efficient and inspiring as possible. With our technical services, we create the conditions for productivity while minimizing risks. The Role involves conducting operational rescue services, systematic fire safety work (SBA), and conducting fire safety training among other tasks. This is a permanent position that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 07:00-16:00, with on-call duty every 5th week – response time within 15 minutes. Requirements * Certified Firefighter - with completed SMO, GRIB/Rescue Operations or equivalent training. * Physical and mental status in accordance with AFS 2007:7. * Administrative experience and computer literacy. * Fluent Swedish in speech and writing. * Fire Commander A/LK1. * Class B driver's license. Meritorious * Fire Commander B/LK2. * Class C driver's license. Your Qualities You have extensive operational experience and remain calm, making constructive and quick decisions in acute and high-pressure situations. You apply rescue tactics, conduct risk assessments – for example, for smoke diving – and determine resource requirements. You have the knowledge to apply applicable safety regulations, policies, and instructions to protect employees. You have a strong ability to listen and build trust that promotes good collaboration and engagement within the team. You communicate information in a pedagogical, clear, and simple manner, both verbally and in writing. You take responsibility for the team functioning both during emergency calls and in daily operations, make decisions, and drive tasks toward established goals. You have the ability to handle rapid changes, varying work tasks, and adapt to new work methods. For this role, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
