The school is centrally located with good transportation connections directly adjacent to Söder Tull. About 30 dedicated staff members from various professions work here in close collaboration. Together, through student health teams, teacher groups, and school leadership, we create accessible learning environments. Your responsibilities As an academic and career counselor, you are a key person in equipping our students for future studies and career choices in a broad working life. You work both strategically and closely with students in their daily lives, guiding them from dreams to concrete plans. The role includes conducting individual counseling sessions and group guidance on studies and career choices, as well as providing information about educational pathways, eligibility requirements, and job market opportunities. You contribute environmental analysis related to working life, entrepreneurship, and further studies, plan and conduct study visits, and coordinate contacts with guest lecturers in fields such as economics, law, and business. You participate in the school's student health work and collaborate with teachers, mentor teams, and guardians. You also plan and implement guidance initiatives linked to current subject matter and contribute to the school's quality and development work in academic and career guidance. This is a full-time position during daytime hours and primarily based at the school, where you work closely with students in our integrated operations. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a degree from an academic and career counselor program and at least one year of experience working as an academic and career counselor in upper secondary school. You have good knowledge of the education system, eligibility requirements, and current trends in the job market. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and knowledge of English is a merit. You have good digital competence and are experienced working in student administration systems. As a person, you are organized, attentive, and communicative. You enjoy collaborating with others while taking your own initiative and driving your work forward. You have a solution-oriented approach and the ability to think creatively about students' educational paths. You contribute to a safe, respectful, and positive work environment.
