About the role and your responsibilities
As a career and educational counselor in the municipal special education group (KSU), you will primarily work with individual counseling, but also group counseling, study planning, and information initiatives may occur. You collaborate with teachers, students, guardians, and when needed, student health teams at students' home schools.
Your responsibilities include:
Counseling students regarding upper secondary school choice and future career selection.
Providing information about educational pathways, programs, and the job market.
Conversations with students and, when needed, guardians regarding interests, goals, and choices.
Work with the upper secondary school selection process.
Work with work experience programs (prao).
Support to school staff in study and career orientation activities.

We are looking for someone who is educated or has begun education as a career and educational counselor and who has a genuine commitment to students' development and future.
You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students based on their individual needs and circumstances. You work in a structured and independent manner and have an aptitude for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external partners.

About the workplace
The municipal special education group (KSU) consists of six smaller units geographically located in different parts of Lund. KSU accepts students in grades 6-9 who need education in a smaller setting with clear structure and high predictability throughout the school day. Currently, the operation includes approximately 60 students and a total of 35 employees.
To work with children or students in preschool and school, you must be able to provide an acceptable certificate from the criminal record register.
