Career and Education Counselor at Lugnviksskolan in Östersund at 50 – 100%! Would you like to be part of developing students' future dreams, choices, and opportunities? We are now seeking an engaged and driven career and education counselor who wants to become an important part of our school and our collective work to provide all students with good conditions for the future. A school – from preschool to grade 9 With us, you will work in a school from preschool through grade 9 based on a well-functioning career guidance plan together with certified teachers. The school is the most recently built in the municipality and the entire school is under one roof, together with after-school care. This creates good opportunities to build relationships with students over time and to work long-term with career and education guidance as a natural part of the school's activities. As a career counselor with us, you have your own lessons each week with students in grades 8 and 9. There you will have the opportunity to work both with individual guidance and with group knowledge about upper secondary school choices, educational pathways, working life, and future opportunities. Career guidance is prioritized Career and education guidance is an important part of the school's mission. The principals prioritize career guidance work and see the value of guidance being integrated into the school's activities all the way from preschool through grade 9. We have an active and established career guidance plan that is evaluated jointly each year. As our new career counselor, you will have an important role in continuing to develop the plan and working methods. We want you to have the opportunity to influence, develop, and expand career guidance work forward – based on students' needs, changes in the surrounding world, and your own ideas and experiences. You will become part of an engaged team You will be part of an engaged work team where collaboration, collegial learning, and student well-being are at the center. You will also participate in the school's student well-being team, EHT, where your competence and perspective become an important part of promoting and preventive student well-being work. We are looking for someone who Is trained as a career and education counselor Has good knowledge of Swedish and can express yourself well in speech and writing Are familiar with the school's mission and activities Have great commitment to children and young people's development and future opportunities Enjoy working both independently and together with others Want to develop career guidance work and dare to think new Have an easy time creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues See the value of close collaboration with the school's educators, student well-being staff, and school leadership With us you get Work at a preschool-grade 9 school under the same roof Have your own career guidance lessons each week in grades 8 and 9 Work at a school where career guidance is prioritized Be involved in and influence an active career guidance plan that is evaluated annually Opportunity to develop and expand career guidance work Be part of an engaged work team Be part of the EHT team Work in a modern and recently renovated school The career guidance assignment is at 50%, but if you are interested, we have the opportunity to offer 100% in combination with other assignments.
