Career and Educational Advisor at Wasaskolan – the small school with the big heart Do you want to work at a school where you have the opportunity to really get to know the students and make a difference – every day! Wasaskolan is now seeking a career and educational advisor on a full-time, permanent basis. With us, you will have a central role in students' education and future choices and will be an important part of our collective effort to help every student succeed. Teachers, mentors, student services, and school leadership work closely together around students' learning, well-being, attendance, and future. Your assignment As a career and educational advisor with us, you work closely with students throughout their upper secondary education. You guide them in study and career choices, further studies and working life, but your assignment is also about helping students see possibilities, find motivation, and believe in their own future. You are part of the school's student services team and contribute your perspective to preventive and developmental work. Together with the principal, counselor, school nurse, special educator, and other staff, you work to early identify students who need support and find ways forward. Your duties include, among other things: Conduct individual guidance meetings and work with group guidance Support and motivate students in their study planning and future choices Work closely with students, mentors, teachers, and student services Participate in the school's work on attendance, motivation, and goal achievement Provide information about educational paths, qualifications, further studies, and the job market Contribute career and educational guidance perspectives to the school's systematic quality work Collaborate with guardians, other schools, authorities, the business sector, and other external partners.
