We celebrate worship services in 11 churches where volunteers play a large role in creating vibrant parish life. Here there are more than 200 employed staff members with a shared administration that provides professional support with relevant expertise in finance, HR, funeral and property matters, facility maintenance, communication, and IT. As a student chaplain, you will be a present and attentive representative of the Church of Sweden at Linköping University. You meet students and university employees in both everyday situations and times of crisis, and create space for conversations about life, relationships, faith, doubt, meaning, and the future. About the Position As a student chaplain, you will have a varied role in an ecumenical context where the Church of Sweden and free churches in Linköping and Norrköping collaborate. The role includes, among other things: offering individual conversations and pastoral care being available during grief, crisis, and other difficult life situations leading grief groups creating meeting places and participating in activities for students participating in educational sessions by giving lectures on, for example, death, existential health, and approach responsibility for pastoral viewings of the deceased teaching through catechumenate or similar programs building relationships and collaborating with Christian student groups, student unions, and section mentorship programs working with Student Health and other university actors responsibility for the parish's hospitality at graduation ceremonies in the Cathedral facilitating ecumenical prayer and praise services in the Cathedral Your presence at the university is a central part of this role, but you will also be part of the worship life in the Cathedral. You will also be an important link between students and all the activities that take place in the parish's nine congregations. About You We are looking for someone who is ordained as a priest according to the Church of Sweden's order and who wants to use your expertise and commitment in a context where many different perspectives meet. You are confident in your role as a priest and have a good ability to listen, build trust, and meet people where they are. You are curious about other perspectives and can stand firm in your own faith while meeting people with respect and openness.
