Kammarkollegiet serves as capital manager, insurance company, procurement officer, and legal firm for the state administration. Among our many assignments from Parliament and Government, we insure state operations. Kammarkollegiet's Insurance Department functions as the state's insurance company, where we work with risk management and claims settlement for state agencies and foundations. Our operations cover insurance areas for personnel, travel, operations, and vehicles—a total of some 30 different insurance products. Kammarkollegiet's Insurance Department is located in Karlstad and has just over 40 employees distributed across three units and a staff office. Kammarkollegiet is undergoing comprehensive digitalization of its entire operations, and in the Insurance Department, a transformation of our internal working methods and development of e-services for our customers is underway. We are now seeking a student assistant who is studying in the social sciences field and who can support our personal injury claims handlers in their work. Job Description We are seeking a student assistant to handle claims within the state personal injury protection by independently managing incoming applications, requesting supporting documents, and communicating in writing with various parties, and as needed, handling different claims cases. You work closely and collaboratively with knowledgeable colleagues in the department. Are you our new student assistant? We are looking for someone who has: - ongoing academic studies in the social sciences field that Kammarkollegiet deems relevant to the position, and who has at least 60 completed higher education credits within the field - experience gained through either studies or work life where you have analyzed information and drawn your own conclusions and made independent decisions - excellent ability to work with digital systems and tools and learn easily - the ability to express yourself in a very clear and well-formulated manner in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It is a merit if you have experience working at a government agency and with similar tasks. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, you are driven, responsible, and enjoy working in a group with colleagues. You have very good cooperation skills, are analytical, thorough, and quality-conscious. You are positive and flexible and can adapt to the operations' needs. You enjoy working independently with responsibility for your work tasks. More Information Time-limited employment as a student assistant during the fall semester 2026. The scope is up to 25%.
