The Administrative Court of Gothenburg is one of Sweden's largest courts with approximately 280 employees. Our primary task is to resolve disputes between individuals and public authorities. The Administrative Court is also one of the country's four migration courts. The court currently has six adjudicating divisions, each with a main focus on one of the major areas of law – tax law or social security law. In addition, all adjudicating divisions handle migration cases. The administrative division houses the court's case management units, the Registry and Archives Unit, the Administrative Office Unit, and the IT, Security and Service Unit. Hundreds of cases and matters are decided every day in courts throughout Sweden. Duties As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge through qualified practical legal work. You will have the opportunity to develop your ability to identify and analyze legal problems and to express yourself orally and in writing. The work tasks include conducting legal investigations, participating in oral hearings, and drafting proposed judgments and decisions. You work under the supervision of an experienced lawyer. Working hours will be scheduled during daytime at the administrative court's premises and based on the principle that you should be able to combine your studies with work. The employment rate will on average amount to a maximum of 25 percent of a full-time position. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a full-time student in the law program. Have been admitted through and including term five of the law program. Do not complete your law education before 2027. Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Have experience working as a summer law clerk at an administrative court. In addition, we would like you to have a particular interest in the areas of law that occur at the Administrative Court of Gothenburg. Personal QualitiesWe are looking for someone who is responsible, engaged, and thorough. You have good analytical skills and sound judgment. In the role of student assistant, you need to be skilled at expressing yourself, both in writing and orally, as this will be a large part of your work. You work closely with your colleagues and therefore need to have good collaboration skills. To be eligible for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means you uphold democratic values and the government values that guide the Swedish Courts' operations. We require that you comply with applicable laws. We place great importance on personal qualities. Other Information The employment is time-limited under the student assistant agreement. The employment applies for the fall term 2026.
