Department of Urban and Rural Development Do you want to contribute to supporting and inspiring other students while developing your own pedagogical and organizational skills? We are now seeking student mentors for the Landscape Architecture and Landscape Engineering programs at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala. About the Position The tasks include student mentoring and course administration. Your Background We are looking for someone who: is a registered student in the Landscape Architecture program or Landscape Engineering program at SLU in Uppsala is studying in years 3–5 has passed the advanced course in site engineering has good knowledge of AutoCAD and can support other students in using the program It is meritorious if you have: experience with surveying and site engineering good knowledge of plants experience with digital image processing and visualization tools Great importance will be placed on personal qualities such as being: responsible and self-driven careful and structured in your work approach service-oriented and engaged in helping others About Us At the Department of Urban and Rural Development, undergraduate education, doctoral education, research, and collaboration are conducted across five divisions: agrarian history, landscape architecture, rural development, environmental communication, and the division of political science and natural resource management, which includes Sida's helpdesk for environmental assessment. The department is also home to the Centre for Nature Guidance (CNV). The department is the largest at SLU for social sciences, humanities, and design. Questions about sustainable use of natural resources and landscapes are central to the department's research, teaching, and collaboration. The department has approximately 160 employees. You can accept or decline each work opportunity you are offered. When you accept one or more job occasions, a new employment agreement is entered into for those occasions. Scope: The employment period is from possible start date in September 2026 until June 15, 2027. You will be offered work as needed. This may be individual occasions or multiple rounds.
