Many of Strömma's students in the agricultural program with a focus on horse care, animal care, and farming will start their own businesses after completing their education. Would you like to help give students a solid foundation in how to run a business? Then you should apply for the position as our new business economics teacher. About the Position You will be part of a team dedicated to helping students succeed in their studies and future aspirations. The position includes teaching business economics to students in the agricultural program with focuses on farming, animal care, and horse care. The role also involves developing course materials, monitoring and assessing student learning progress, and participating in and contributing to the school's pedagogical development work. The position is permanent and currently part-time at 50%. The position may potentially be expanded with the right person and qualifications. Start immediately or by agreement. About You We are looking for someone who enjoys leading, educating, and developing young people. You are independent and well-organized and enjoy working both individually and in groups. You have a strong focus on safety and are pedagogical and clear in your communication. You are comfortable with computers and can follow up and report using digital tools. We seek someone who is confident, clear, and engaged. You are skilled at building relationships with students and colleagues and work with a solution-focused approach. You work pedagogically, which means you enjoy meeting young people at different levels, creating motivation, and contributing to development within your subject areas. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently is important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Qualifications Teacher certification. Merits Experience from farming. About Us In 1919, the first agricultural education program was started at Strömma, which now consists of the agricultural program with focuses on farming, horse care, and animal care, as well as a smaller number of places in the introduction program. All students have the opportunity to choose courses for science eligibility. Currently, we have just over 180 students, the majority of whom live in student housing Monday through Friday. We are approximately 50 employees, of whom just over 20 are teachers. Since 2017, the member organization Hushållningssällskapet Sjuhärad owns Strömma Naturbrukscentrum. Hushållningssällskapet has existed for over 200 years to develop the countryside and the green sector through research, consulting, education, and field trials.
