We are seeking a technically skilled worker to operate wastewater treatment technology at a healthcare facility. Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator /Utilities Technician This position is ideal for technically-oriented professionals (plumber, maintenance technician, machinery operator, mechanic, technical trades worker, etc.) Job Responsibilities: Operation of wastewater treatment plant technological equipment. Ensuring operation of technology for treating wastewater from a healthcare facility. Monitoring operation of technological equipment (pumps, blowers, mixers, aeration systems, etc.). Sampling and performing basic operational measurements. Handling of technological equipment and sludge. Dosing and handling of chemical preparations used for wastewater disinfection. Maintaining operational logs and recording operational data. Performing routine operational maintenance of technological equipment. Assisting with service interventions and repairs of technological equipment. Inspecting condition of piping systems, fittings, and technological equipment. Technical work in wastewater treatment plant operations (equipment monitoring, maintenance, work with pumps and piping systems). Compliance with operational procedures, hygiene regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements. We require: Minimum vocational training in a technical or chemical field. Technical thinking and ability to work independently. Manual dexterity and technical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot minor operational equipment problems. Responsibility, reliability, conscientiousness, and physical fitness. Health fitness for work in continuous operations. Willingness to work 12-hour shift work (day/night shifts). Basic PC skills. Criminal record clearance (criminal record extract required upon hiring). Willingness to work in an environment with elevated hygiene requirements (wastewater treatment plant operations at a healthcare facility, contact with infectious wastewater). Experience as an installer is advantageous. Experience with pump, fitting, and piping system maintenance is advantageous. Group B driver's license is advantageous. Civic and moral integrity.
