About the Role

As a strategic maintenance engineer at Ringhals, you will have a key role in ensuring high availability and long-term performance in our facilities – working together with experienced colleagues in an operation where your expertise really makes a difference.
About Us
You will become part of the Mechanical Maintenance – Strategic group, a knowledgeable and committed team of approximately 20 maintenance engineers. Together, we are responsible for mechanical maintenance at Ringhals and work closely with each other across several technical areas, such as diesel, HVAC, pumps, turbines, valves, piping, tanks, and heat exchangers.
About the Job
As a maintenance engineer, you work long-term to develop and ensure effective maintenance strategies within your technical area – with a particular focus on pumps. You contribute to analyzing needs, prioritizing initiatives, and translating technical knowledge into concrete improvements in operations.
Your Main Responsibilities
• Develop and follow up on strategic maintenance plans
• Analyze and improve maintenance initiatives within your area of responsibility
• Monitor technical function and contribute with improvement suggestions and modifications
• Compile reports and further develop technical documentation, instructions, and guidelines
• Take responsibility, drive, or participate in change and maintenance projects
• Monitor technical developments in the field and translate knowledge into operational benefits
• Contribute to economic planning work and monitor and report both technical and economic deviations
• Function as technical support and expert in pumps and rotating equipment
Requirements Specification
About You
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology who thrives in a role where you can combine analysis, structure, and collaboration.
We would like you to have:
• A degree as a technical engineer, for example in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a degree as a marine engineer, or equivalent competence from work experience
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in pumps
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and create structure – even during periods with varying work pace
• Very good communication skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
• Certification in maintenance management, for example European Expert in Maintenance Management
• Training or experience in pumps, sealing applications, bearings, vibration analysis, or surface treatment
As a person, you are curious, structured, and analytical. You thrive with strategic work, handle complex information, and drive improvement initiatives with persistence and commitment. You naturally collaborate with others and express yourself clearly in both analyses, plans, and technical documentation.
