Saab Aeronautics - Indirect Procurement is now seeking an experienced strategic procurement manager for its team in Linköping. You will have the opportunity to join a newly established procurement department consisting of approximately 10 colleagues focused on strategic procurement and supplier development. The Indirect Procurement section is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Aeronautics' indirect procurement portfolio, which includes goods and services not directly linked to the product. The portfolio encompasses a broad range of categories, such as production supplies, production equipment, and related services. Your Responsibilities As a strategic procurement manager, you are responsible for the entire commercial process, from requests and negotiations to contract signing and supplier development. The role also involves developing and managing supplier relationships and ensuring competitiveness, quality, compliance with requirements, and long-term value creation. The role requires close collaboration and continuous dialogue with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. It requires a structured approach, the ability to lead supplier teams, and a good understanding of both business benefits and total cost of ownership perspective. This includes more detailed areas of responsibility, such as: Develop and implement procurement strategies within defined areas Negotiate commercial terms, sign, further develop, and manage supplier agreements Monitor and analyze supplier performance related to cost, lead time, quality, and delivery capability Create and manage request for proposals and handle received bids Develop existing business with suppliers to ensure optimal and cost-effective delivery capability Conduct cost analyses and identify and continuously drive cost savings Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience in business-strategic work and who thrives in cross-functional collaboration. You are proactive, adaptable, and motivated to work in a changing environment. You have strong negotiation experience in international settings, the ability to analyze total cost of ownership over the lifecycle, and are skilled at building long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements for the Position: Hold relevant academic education in procurement/logistics/economics or other relevant education or equivalent work experience Have several years of experience with sound commercial judgment and development of strategic business relationships and possess the ability to understand and analyze total cost of ownership over the lifecycle Express yourself fluently in both speech and writing in both Swedish and English It is considered advantageous if you have previous work experience within the industry. The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, it may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
