The Role of Strategic Procurement Manager In your role as a Strategic Procurement Manager, you are responsible for the entire commercial procurement process, from inquiries and negotiations to contract signing and supplier development. You work with a broad portfolio of indirect goods and services and play an important role in ensuring competitive solutions, high quality, and long-term supplier partnerships. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, where your ability to build relationships, drive business, and analyze business value becomes critical to success. Examples of Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies within defined categories Conduct commercial negotiations and sign supplier agreements Develop, manage, and strengthen strategic supplier relationships Monitor supplier performance regarding cost, quality, lead time, and delivery reliability Prepare and manage request for proposals and evaluate received bids Identify improvement opportunities and drive cost-saving initiatives Conduct cost analyses and work from a total cost of ownership perspective Coordinate and lead supplier-related activities in cross-functional collaborations You will become part of a team consisting of approximately ten colleagues within strategic procurement and supplier development. You are analytical, structured, and experienced at building good relationships with both internal and external parties. Qualifications: Relevant academic education in procurement, logistics, economics, or equivalent work experience Several years of experience in strategic procurement or similar commercial roles Experience developing strategic business and supplier relationships Good negotiation experience, preferably in international environments Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written To succeed in this role, we believe you are a business-minded and analytical person who thrives with strategic and long-term work. Please note that this assignment is subject to security requirements, which means a security clearance will be conducted before the assignment starts. The assignment is located in Linköping, and some travel is included in the position, both within Sweden and internationally, so you should be comfortable with traveling as needed.
