The role of Strategic Procurement Manager in systems involves being responsible for selected suppliers within a product area. In this role, you conduct supplier evaluations, request for quotations, evaluate and negotiate terms, and ensure we identify opportunities and mitigate risks within your area. You work on building relationships and development with our important suppliers as well as ongoing monitoring and management by objectives. You lead cross-functional teams in project/contract phases with our suppliers and ensure we have contracts in place. In the important and growing area of Simulation and Training Systems, you are responsible for defining and implementing procedures and working methods as well as setting strategies together with the company's sales function to meet our customers' needs in the long term. Who You Are We work in category teams composed of different roles and specialists. We are looking for someone whose strength is communication, building good relationships, and developing long-term networks. You are goal-oriented and take initiative, and in a structured and thorough manner you lead yourself and others. Your planning ability is important, you are analytical and driven by creating good business deals. The ability to see the bigger picture and work with both a long-term horizon and manage daily operations to achieve results are important capabilities in this role. You have an academic education such as a degree in engineering, business administration, or other relevant tertiary education. Because we have an international character in customers and suppliers, you need to have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We would like to see that you have experience from a role with a commercial focus and have experience from procurement, sales and/or project management as well as an interest in technology.
