Job Description We are now seeking a strategic procurement officer for Region Östergötland. The role may be focused on one of the areas of medical technology, IT, indirect materials, or facility management and property. As a Strategic Procurement Officer, you are responsible for the entire procurement process, which involves work with needs and market analysis, requests for proposals, evaluation, negotiation, and contract monitoring. You also act as an advisor to the various operations within Region Östergötland on strategic procurement and purchasing matters. In the role, you will work closely with healthcare. The assignment also includes responsibility for contacts with suppliers in the relevant area. We strive to give you as a strategic procurement officer both responsibility and room for action. Work Team The work team consists of operational and strategic procurement officers with approximately 18 employees. Work is conducted in close collaboration with various professionals from different operations within the region. About You To be successful in the role of Strategic Procurement Officer, we see that you have an academic degree as a lawyer, business lawyer, civil engineer, business graduate, or other comparable education. Previous experience in the procurement field is a merit. You are comfortable expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. The position requires good knowledge of the Office suite and experience working in different systems. Your structured and initiative-taking work approach combined with your interest and understanding of economics, law, and policy creates strategic thinking and aptitude for analysis and good business deals. You maintain a high degree of business acumen with the ability to act as commercial support to buyers and handle complex business processes. Your business acumen is combined with the ability to apply and interpret relevant laws and regulations, such as the Public Procurement Act and the Healthcare Act. You value collaboration, openness, and clear communication, and see experience and competence exchange as a natural success factor. We place great emphasis on your personality.
