We are now seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist for a consulting assignment with our client in the high-tech industry in Linköping. You will have a central role in indirect procurement with responsibility for the entire commercial process – from requests for quotations and negotiations to contracts, supplier development, and follow-up. You will be part of a newly established procurement department with approximately ten colleagues specializing in strategic procurement and supplier development. About the Assignment As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for the strategic and commercial management of indirect procurement. The portfolio includes goods and services not directly linked to the end product, such as production supplies, production equipment, and related services. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and are responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships with a focus on competitiveness, quality, requirement fulfillment, and long-term value creation. In this role, you will, among other things: - Develop and implement procurement strategies within defined areas. - Issue requests for quotation and manage received bids. - Negotiate commercial terms and sign, develop, and maintain supplier agreements. - Monitor and analyze supplier performance regarding cost, lead time, quality, and delivery capability. - Develop existing supplier relationships to create optimal and cost-effective capacity. - Conduct cost analyses and continuously identify cost-saving opportunities. - Lead supplier teams and collaborate cross-functionally with various parts of the organization. - Work from a clear business value perspective with an understanding of total cost of ownership throughout the entire lifecycle. Your Profile - 3 years of relevant experience. - Relevant academic education in procurement, logistics, or economics, other relevant education, or equivalent work experience. - Experience in strategic and commercial procurement work. - Experience in commercial assessments and development of strategic business relationships. - Ability to understand and analyze total cost of ownership over the lifecycle. - Strong negotiation skills, including negotiation in international environments. - Ability to build and develop long-term supplier relationships. - Ability to work structurally, lead supplier teams, and collaborate cross-functionally. - Strong leadership skills and excellent collaboration, communication, and networking abilities. - High ability to acquire, apply, and share knowledge. - Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Additional Information - Location: Linköping - Start: Immediately, upon approved background check. - Travel: Travel within Sweden and internationally may occur. - This assignment is subject to security-related requirements.
