Strategic Procurement Manager

About the role As a procurement manager at Bäckström Anläggning, you report to the Procurement Manager and serve as a specialist in procurement matters for the organization. You work both strategically and operationally to develop the supplier base, negotiate agreements, and ensure that the business obtains the right goods and services at the right quality, cost, and time. The role involves close collaboration with production, finance, and other support functions to ensure that procurement meets the business's needs. Your main responsibilities Negotiate supplier agreements and terms such as prices, delivery, and payment terms. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new suppliers. Conduct supplier assessments and monitor delivery performance. Ensure order and structure in agreements, supplier information, and procurement documentation. Establish agreements and conduct purchases based on project needs and budgets. Handle complaints and quality issues together with suppliers and internal functions. Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas within the procurement process. Who are you? We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in, for example, procurement, logistics, engineering, or economics. You have at least three years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably from the contracting, construction, or civil engineering sector, and have solid knowledge of procurement law. You also have: Solid knowledge in engineering, production, and economics. Experience in planning, follow-up, and negotiation. Good systems proficiency and experience with MS 365, particularly Excel, Teams, and Word. Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
