As part of the total defense effort, we work every day to protect our systems against advanced threats from foreign actors. We are now seeking a strategic advisor for national affairs who wants to contribute to our operations at the Cyber Defense Command (CFL) and has an interest in developing within central government administration and cyber defense. About the role The Swedish Armed Forces continues to develop cyber defense and is seeking you who want to be part of shaping Sweden's role within the EU, NATO, in bilateral and national cooperation formats. This development is part of the overall work to strengthen total defense and the Armed Forces' operational capabilities, individually and within the alliance. Learn more about us and our operations here: https://www.forsvarsmakten.se/om-forsvarsmakten/organisation/stridskrafter/cyberforsvar/om-cyberforsvar/ Main responsibilities: Preparation of a variety of issues at the military strategic level within the cyber defense area with particular focus on national cooperation Independently drive assigned tasks individually and together with others Handling of both internal and external remittances The emphasis lies in cooperation and collaboration with other parts of the Armed Forces and external organizations as well as planning, direction and monitoring of cyber defense operations from a national and international perspective. We are seeking you who meet one of the following two alternative requirements: Either you have: an academic degree with a political science, legal or security policy profile, and at least three years of work experience where you in public administration or the private sector have had tasks related to government administration and remittance handling at national or international level or you have: an academic degree in data technology or other direction within the computer technical or data science field, and at least three years of work experience within the IT field. For both alternatives above, there is also a requirement for strong ability to analyze, compile and present material both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. It is meritorious if you have: experience in cooperation and remittance handling at national or international level training and experience as a project manager experience leading or directing information and cyber security related operations current and relevant previous work experience at the Armed Forces or another authority or organization within total defense and security issues current and relevant previous work experience with FM's or NATO's military planning processes preferably at military strategic or operational level Who are you? Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. Since January 1, 2023, Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, Operations Command, Military Intelligence and Security Service, and Headquarters Staff Division and independent supervisory units. An employment with us entails placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
