About the role
The Swedish Armed Forces continues to develop cyber defense and is seeking you to be part of shaping Sweden's role within the EU, NATO, and in bilateral cooperation formats. This development is part of the overall work to strengthen total defense and the Swedish Armed Forces' operational capabilities, both individually and within the alliance.

Main responsibilities:
Preparation of a variety of issues at the military-strategic level within the cyber defense field with particular focus on bilateral cooperation
Independently drive assigned tasks both individually and together with others
Handling of both internal government and external referrals
The focus is on cooperation and collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces and external organizations, as well as planning, direction, and monitoring of cyber defense activities from a national and international perspective.
We are seeking you who meet one of the following two alternative requirements:
Either you have:
an academic degree with a political science, legal, or security policy profile, and
at least three years of work experience where you have had duties related to government administration and referral management at the national or international level in the public sector or business
or you have:
an academic degree in data technology or another specialization within computer technology or data science, and
at least three years of work experience in the IT field.
For both alternatives above, there is also a requirement for strong ability to analyze, compile, and present material both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have:
experience with cooperation and referral management at the national or international level
training and experience as a project manager
experience leading or directing information and cybersecurity-related activities
current and relevant previous work experience at the Swedish Armed Forces or another government agency or organization in total defense and security matters
current and relevant previous work experience with FM's or NATO's military planning processes, preferably at the military-strategic or operational level

The headquarters is home to the Supreme Commander and Director General. The headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of January 1, 2023, the headquarters consists of the defense staff, operational command, military intelligence and security service, and the headquarters' staff department and independent supervisory units.
Employment with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. A security vetting with record check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be war-mobilized.
