DUTIES As a strategist with us, you contribute to sustainable workplaces by developing methods, processes, and collaborations. As a strategist in occupational health, you are responsible for developing Region Västerbotten's work for sustainable workplaces and favorable organizational conditions. You contribute to integrating the occupational health perspective into operational development, leadership, and governance. In this role, you are responsible for developing and coordinating the region's strategic and operational occupational health work with a focus on creating sustainable workplaces. You drive development in organizational and social occupational health and contribute to strengthening operations' ability to work systematically and long-term on occupational health matters. The work involves monitoring, analyzing, and translating occupational health data into concrete development initiatives that support operational goals and needs. You identify areas for development, produce analyses and decision-making documents, and propose and lead improvement initiatives that strengthen both occupational health and organizational efficiency. An important part of the assignment is developing methods, processes, and organizational conditions that promote sustainable occupational health and a sustainable work life. You actively monitor developments in the field through environmental scanning and ensure that the region's work is based on current legislation, regulations, and other relevant frameworks. You translate new knowledge, research, and proven methods into practical solutions and development initiatives that create value for the region's operations. Through close collaboration with managers, HR, and other key functions, you contribute to integrating the occupational health perspective into operational development and long-term strategic work. You will be based in Umeå at the Region's headquarters, which is close to both Norrland University Hospital and Umeå University. Here you will work in a large and complex organization with an important societal mission. QUALIFICATIONS You have relevant academic education. You have several years of experience with qualified occupational health work, preferably from a large and complex organization. You have good knowledge of occupational health legislation and systematic occupational health work, as well as an understanding of how occupational health issues can be integrated into operational development and strategic work. To succeed in the role, you have experience driving and supporting development and change initiatives, where you contribute in a structured and solution-oriented manner to developing operations and methods. You are experienced in collaborating with different functions and stakeholders and have the ability to translate knowledge, analyses, and operational needs into concrete initiatives that strengthen occupational health and organizational sustainability. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and have the ability to translate regulations, analyses, and needs into practical and long-term sustainable solutions for operations.
