About the job The Administration Department is now seeking a strategist with a focus on employee matters, systematic occupational health and safety work, strategic personnel and competency planning, and preparedness issues. The position is cross-departmental and involves working closely with managers, department leadership, HR specialists, and other central functions within social services and the municipality. The role includes both recurring tasks and temporary assignments, as well as tasks of a developmental, coordinating, and investigative nature. Within the Administration Department, there are several central support functions, and the department works to provide support and service to the administration, as well as to contribute to development, coordination, and quality assurance of operations. As a strategist, you will be an important part of this work and contribute with structure, analysis, coordination, and development across several cross-departmental areas. You will work both independently and in collaboration with others. The work requires you to manage multiple parallel processes, create structure, coordinate different actors, and provide materials, analyses, and follow-ups to managers, department leadership, collaboration groups, and boards. The position requires great flexibility, initiative, and good problem-solving skills, as conditions and needs may change over time. Work tasks As a strategist, you will work with overarching issues within social services, with particular focus on coordination, analysis, follow-up, and development. The assignment is broad and may change over time based on operational needs, current priorities, and your competence. The role includes supporting managers and department leadership by preparing materials, compiling and analyzing information, contributing to follow-ups, and participating in the development of work methods and processes. The work is to some extent assignment-driven and includes investigating, documenting, writing service memoranda, and presenting to boards. You will have a coordinating function in matters such as systematic occupational health and safety work, personnel and competency planning, training issues, preparedness, and other strategic or administrative assignments of a cross-departmental nature. You are expected to be able to create structure in complex matters, drive and hold together processes, and contribute to the administration receiving well-founded materials for decisions, planning, and development. To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, have good problem-solving skills, and be able to adapt to changing needs and conditions. The assignment may also include special investigations, reports, coordination tasks, and other tasks that arise through operational development, board assignments, or department leadership priorities. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have: - Relevant university education in, for example, public administration, personnel science, social science, administration, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. - Good knowledge and experience using AI in your work. - Experience in qualified administrative, strategic, or coordinating work, preferably within municipal operations or social services. - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and with multiple parallel processes. - It is meritorious if you have experience working as a manager within social services. As a person, you are thorough, flexible, structured, and analytical. You have the ability to create an overview, see connections, and transform complex information into clear materials and practical support. You thrive in a role where you both work independently and in close collaboration with others. You find it easy to build trusting relationships, are service-oriented, and contribute to development through commitment, responsibility, and a solution-focused approach.
