Dragonskolans short-term supervision is located in the western part of the city and currently consists of two departments: A smaller department, Holken, is located within Dragonskolan school, and the larger after-school department, Kvarnen, is located in separate facilities on Kvarnvägen. The activities serve young people ages 16-21. Short-term supervision is a service provided under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) framework, designed for youth over 12 years old who no longer have access to school recreational services but need supervision while their guardians work or study. The service can be provided before or after school, as well as during school breaks. Through individually tailored support, we create a safe environment and meaningful leisure activities together. We are now seeking a person for our Holken department at Dragonskolan. Your Responsibilities As a staff member in short-term supervision services, you will support and assist young people based on their individual needs. Your responsibilities vary and may include both social and physical support, depending on each young person's situation. You prepare for the young people's arrival, plan and conduct meaningful activities, and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating environment. The role also includes daily administrative tasks. The work can be physically demanding as you are frequently moving. Some transfers and lifting may occur, though heavy lifting is not a central part of the job. You must also be prepared to handle challenging behaviors and situations where threats and violence may occur. About You We are looking for someone who is calm, confident, and committed—with genuine care. You have good collaboration skills, a professional demeanor, and enjoy working closely with colleagues, service users, and families. You understand that building relationships takes time and use creativity and playfulness in your interactions. Personal suitability will be weighted heavily. Requirements: - Experience working with people with functional impairments - Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Valid extract from the police's criminal records register, as required by the suitability check regulation Meriting Factors: - Training as a nursing assistant, child and recreation education, recreation leader, or other pedagogical or social education - Experience working in adapted school settings/LSS, preferably with children/youth or similar work We believe you will thrive and succeed in this role if you are: Responsive - you have the ability to meet young people's individual needs and create a safe and respectful environment.
