Your role As a support pedagogue, you guide and implement pedagogical approaches and are responsible for their development in collaboration with management. You serve as a sounding board for other team members and mentor colleagues on social documentation issues. You continuously update your knowledge on pedagogical and evidence-based practices and inform the team about these. Your duties also include seeking, organizing, and sharing relevant information and new findings. You will also work with the daily tasks at the group housing facility. 25% of your working time is allocated as support pedagogue time and the remaining 75% you work as a support assistant in the facility. The group housing is staffed around the clock, but you will work a schedule that includes morning, day, and evening shifts as well as every other weekend work. The support is individually adapted to provide residents with a safe home, a meaningful everyday life, and opportunities to develop according to their capabilities. The starting point is that support in the home is provided together with residents to contribute to development and independence. Activities outside the home are part of the work, and you will sometimes accompany residents on these. Your competence and experience We're looking for you who: Have been trained as a support pedagogue from vocational college (200 credits) Have good computer skills and experience documenting according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) Have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities Have experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders It is advantageous if you have: Experience working as a support pedagogue Knowledge of low-affect approaches Knowledge of mental health issues and comorbidity To succeed in the role of support pedagogue, we see that you are confident in your general and professional competence and that you see difficulties as opportunities for development.
