Job Duties We are now looking for a support pedagogue for a residential facility with special services in Örgryte! The operations are conducted according to the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) and are aimed at adults with acquired brain injuries and intellectual and mental disabilities. Six residents live with us. We provide support for a meaningful daily life with pedagogical and personal assistance. The residential facility addresses comorbidity, which requires professional, coordinated, and individualized support. We work with low-key communication and a pedagogical approach based on the individual's needs, participation, and self-determination. You have overall responsibility for pedagogical work within the operations based on LSS intentions and applicable governing documents. Your role is to gather, develop, and disseminate knowledge about working methods and practices, and ensure that these are used in an equal and quality-assured manner. Together with the work team, you establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. You contribute to ensuring that residents receive the right support to live an independent and meaningful life. As a support pedagogue, you are responsible for ensuring that social documentation and implementation plans are created, further developed, and followed in accordance with LSS, SoL, IBIC, and the facility's guidelines. You serve as a support and guide for staff and the work team, as well as support to the manager. You supervise the work team based on the facility's needs, evidence-based methods, and pedagogical practices. Together with your colleagues, you have a central role in the facility's quality development and systematic improvement work. You collaborate with family members, guardians, health and medical care, and other important stakeholders to ensure that residents receive good, safe, and lawful care, support, and services. The position involves joint planning within the management area, and the unit is located in the same building as two other group homes, which leads to close cooperation between the operations. The group home provides 24-hour support based on residents' individual needs. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week, and scheduling is based on the facility's needs. Weekend and evening shifts occur. Qualifications The position as support pedagogue requires post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with persons with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Since communication is an important part of the work, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements (Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1), you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. Experience working with persons with acquired brain injuries is meritorious, as is previous experience as a support pedagogue. Knowledge of methods and approaches such as LAB, AAC, clarifying pedagogy, supportive sign language, ESL, IBIC, and MI is also considered meritorious, as is experience working with various IT support tools. You are driven and take initiative while being flexible and able to adapt when conditions change. You have good interpersonal skills and meet users, colleagues, and partners with respect and responsiveness. Furthermore, you are collaboration-oriented and contribute to a good work environment and the successful completion of the common mission.
