Unit Description
Stråkvägen 15 is located in Huddinge Municipality in the Snättringe area of Huddinge. The operation is a group home with 5 places run in accordance with the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS).
About the Work
Within Functional Support in Huddinge Municipality, you get the opportunity to use your pedagogical expertise to create a meaningful everyday life for the individuals we provide support and services to. As a support pedagogue, you will have an important role with us. You provide support by motivating and being a role model in the daily and pedagogical work of the operation. Together with other colleagues, you plan and carry out the operation's mission in a way that enables increased participation and self-determination for each individual.
In the role of support pedagogue, you are both present in the daily user-focused work and support your colleagues in the pedagogical work at the unit. You implement and drive evidence-based methods in daily work. Together with your responsible manager, you ensure that work with pedagogy and method is planned, documented, and followed up continuously.
As a support pedagogue, you act as a sounding board and have the ability to support your colleagues in planning quality support for each individual. You are expected to be a positive and driving force who wants to develop the unit in accordance with LSS requirements.
As a support pedagogue in Functional Support in Huddinge Municipality, you have the opportunity to grow in your role, where you can, for example, be a mentor for newly hired colleagues, further educate yourself during work time, and become a supervisor for support pedagogue students.
As support in your assignment, you have regular contact with the Functional Support methodology developer and participate in network meetings with other support pedagogues, as well as have ongoing check-ins with your manager.
The staff group at the operation consists of 12 support assistants and one team leader.
The position involves scheduled work during daytime, evening hours, and every other weekend, where you combine practical support and service work with developing the operation's pedagogical work.
Your Profile
We are looking for you with a completed support pedagogue education (200 vocational college credits) or relevant education for the target group equivalent to at least 60 college credits. You must be able to substantiate your degree with grades. You are committed and want to continue to grow with us.
You have knowledge and experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
You have knowledge and experience working with clarifying pedagogy, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and low-affect interaction. You speak Swedish well in both speech and writing and have good computer skills. We would appreciate it if you have experience working with persons with challenging behaviors and multiple disabilities with high care needs.
We are looking for you who are structured and responsible. You have the ability to adapt your approach based on the person and situation, and have a respectful approach with good empathetic abilities. You have a humble attitude, are self-directed, and collaborate easily. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
