Description We are seeking two to three support pedagogues for residential care facilities with specialized services. The support pedagogue should provide support in quality work and a holistic perspective on the residents at each residential facility. The goal is to create good living conditions for residents in the form of participation and independence. The residential facilities in question are centrally located in Karlstad. The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts. Job Responsibilities In your role as a support pedagogue, you will work to support your colleagues in various communication methods and clear-cut pedagogy based on each resident's individual needs. You will work with implementation plans and social documentation in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and instructions in our management system. Your work also includes introducing new staff together with your colleagues, guiding them, and being a good role model in pedagogical work. As a support pedagogue, you will teach and implement new pedagogical methods within the work team. You should be a driving force in pedagogical work at the workplace and support colleagues in social documentation, ensuring that implementation plans are in place and up to date. As a support pedagogue, you contribute to enabling residents to live a life as meaningful and independent as possible with self-determination in focus. The support pedagogue is also part of the daily work with residents. This includes care tasks, as well as participation in various activities with the residents. In Karlstad Municipality, there is a network for support pedagogues, supervisors, and activity developers who meet to exchange experiences and learn from each other. Qualifications For the role of support pedagogue, we are looking for someone who has: Education as a support pedagogue (200 YH). Work experience from LSS activities. Good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Good physical ability, as residents have different needs for support and assistance in their daily lives. A driver's license is required We are looking for someone with good self-awareness, who is confident in yourself, attentive, takes responsibility, and collaborates well with everyone you meet. You are flexible, open-minded, and see possibilities instead of obstacles.
