About the Position We are seeking a Support Pedagogue for Fredagstomten 21, a residential facility with special services. We are looking for someone drawn to the task of working with alternative communication and low-arousal approaches. As a support pedagogue, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work at the facility. You will establish work methods and procedures, and ensure they are used and developed effectively. Together with your work team, you will create, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. You will ensure that social documentation and implementation plans are established, further developed, and followed in accordance with laws and guidelines. You will play a central role in the facility's quality development and systematic improvement work. Your role includes collaboration with other units. Your primary placement is at Fredagstomten 21, but we use our resources flexibly across the facilities at Fredagstomten, Björkhöjdsgatan, and Valvägen based on needs. All facilities have pedagogues working daily with service users. You will be employed as a pedagogue and are expected to work close to service users in daily operations, while 20% of your working time is allocated for pedagogical tasks. As a support pedagogue, you will serve as a support and guide for each individual staff member, the work team, and the manager. You will mentor the work team based on facility needs and methods. You will participate in a network with other pedagogues and collaborate with family members, guardians, and other key persons to ensure service users receive good care, support, and services. The position also includes accepting delegated tasks according to the Health and Medical Services Act. In addition to your work as a support pedagogue, you will perform regular work tasks at the facility. Working hours include days, evenings, on-call nights, and every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for activity-adapted and flexible schedules. About You For the position of support pedagogue, you are required to have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 yh-points, 120 hp, or 60 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least two full-time semesters of study. The education must have a clear focus on the disability field throughout. Good communication skills are an important part of the work, which means you must have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this requirement, you may be offered the opportunity to take a language test through test provider Educateit. You need experience working with individuals with autism and experience with low-arousal approaches and alternative augmentative communication. Since you are expected to work at other facilities based on needs, you must have experience working with people with dementia and experience in care work. Experience working as a support pedagogue is required. Knowledge of the following methods is required: Visual Pedagogy, Sign Supports, ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), MI (Motivational Interviewing), welfare technology, and mental health. Good computer skills, knowledge of social documentation, and a Class B driver's license are advantageous. We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You express the core of an argument clearly and effectively. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target audience, and situation. As a person, you are independent and act on your own initiative based on what the situation requires without needing support from others.
