Description of the Activity The program offers several forms of craftsmanship with a focus on reuse, photography, print production, and concrete work. We work to give new life to thrift store finds and old wallpaper through creative reuse. The program also offers vinyl printing and screen printing on clothing as well as manufacturing various craft products. On behalf of companies and private individuals, we produce printed materials such as flyers, menus, business cards, and brochures. Responsibilities As a support educator, you are a knowledge resource in the work team. You work actively together with the existing educator and the work group to establish, follow up on implementation plans, social documentation, and deviation management where you have overall responsibility as a way to ensure quality in the program, and you are the liaison to Service Travel where all orders are placed. You have a guiding role and contribute with pedagogical support in daily operations to develop the group's competence. You serve as a role model in pedagogical work and interactions, and actively work to ensure that participants have meaningful occupations. In addition to your special areas of responsibility, you are a member of the work team and perform the same tasks as your colleagues. Since we operate under LoV (the Freedom of Choice Act), you need to have knowledge of the applicable regulations. You will be part of a network with other educators for support, experience sharing, and development work. As a support educator, you work in close collaboration with and on behalf of the unit manager. Qualifications The position of support educator requires post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 college credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 college credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well orally and in writing. Therefore, you must have approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not have this, you may be offered a language test via Educateit. You also have experience in one or more crafts fields and can describe how you have worked with this in a group. The final requirement is that you have previous experience working as a support educator within a daily activities program. Meritorious You have good knowledge and experience within various functional variations. It is desirable that you have knowledge of the following methods: LAB (Low Affective Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Clarifying Pedagogy, Welfare Technology, and social documentation based on IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus). We also consider it meritorious if you have experience in psychiatry, substance abuse, and comorbidity.
