Job Responsibilities We are now recruiting a support pedagogue for Åkerviolens group home. The facility is located in Guldheden and provides housing with special support and services according to LSS. Six people with varying support needs live here. At Åkerviolen, we believe that quality is created through interaction with the users. Therefore, we are now looking for a support pedagogue who wants to be a driving force in pedagogical work and contribute to a common, professional approach. The home serves people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Our residents have varying and sometimes extensive care needs. At our facility, support pedagogues, support assistants, and management work closely together. We believe in collaboration, participation, and shared responsibility for the facility's development. We work with a clear foundational idea: our residents should be involved and have influence over their daily lives. As a support pedagogue, you will have a central role in the facility's quality development and systematic improvement work. This includes: supporting support assistants in working with implementation plans and social documentation, establishing, developing, and following up on work methods and approaches. It also means contributing to a safe work environment and professional conduct, collaborating with family members, guardians, and other key stakeholders. In daily work, we use methods such as low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, sign language as support, and alternative and augmentative communication. In addition to your work as a support pedagogue, you will also perform regular duties at the facility. Working hours are days, evenings, on-call nights, and every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for flexible schedules. Qualifications You have a degree in support pedagogy or social pedagogy, or other relevant post-secondary education in the disability field (at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 higher education credits, or equivalent to four semesters of full-time studies). Alternatively: 60 higher education credits plus at least two years of experience working with support/services for people with disabilities. Your education should include relevant courses in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and/or psychiatric care. You need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the language requirement, you may need to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. The position requires very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as communication, documentation, and secure handling of information are part of the job duties. You must have experience working with threats, violence, and challenging behavior. You must have experience working in care and support services. You also have experience and/or knowledge of LAB (low-arousal approaches), AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), clarifying pedagogy, Sign language as support, and IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), social documentation. You also need good computer skills. You are calm and confident in stressful and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible. You can resist pressure from others, set boundaries, and say no when necessary. You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You are receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration, and care in your approach.
